Project with University of California, Merced

Common Frequency is in the process of working with students at UC Merced on a project to build a new radio station in Atwater, California.  UC Merced, the tenth university added to the University of California system in 2002, is the only campus (minus UCSF) without a radio station.  UC Riverside, UC Davis, UC Berkeley, UC Santa Cruz, UC Irvine, and UC Santa Barbara have broadcast FM stations.  UCLA and UCSD have internet radio stations due to lack of space on the NCE bands in those communities.  UC Merced applied for their own NCE facility in 2007, but due to the FCC's r
