Common Frequency's Comment on Public FilesThe FCC recently had asked for public comment on whether the FCC public inspection file is really necessary. FCC rules require all broadcasters to maintain a file for public inspection (see Sections 73.3526 and 73.3527 of the FCC rules). Public inspection files are one of the last obligations of broadcasters, which are supposed to operate in the public interest.
